Case Review: What Headless WordPress SEO Often Misses

Headless WordPress SEO problems often come from mismatches between frontend routing, backend APIs, cache behavior and sitemap output.

URLs must stay clean

Public pages should avoid crawlable query links. Language switching, filtering, search and icons all need checks. The sitemap should include only canonical URLs that return stable 200 responses.

Language paths must be strict

Mixed paths such as /zh/en/... and /en/zh/... should not be normalized into valid pages. They should return 404 so search engines do not index incorrect routes.
